A linear shifting frame
and its advantages

Camera steering system ROW-GUARD

The ROW-GUARD camera guidance system steers row-crop cultivators absolutely precisely along the crops via a linear side shift frame.

The top advantages of the Einböck side shift frame:

  • Narrow, compact design
  • Low centre of gravity distance of the row-crop cultivator from the tractor
  • Low lifting power requirement and low rear axle load
  • Electronic and hydraulic components are protected in the frame
  • One sideshift frame for several implements
  • Row-crop cultivator and sideshift frame can be exchanged individually
  • Smooth movement due to proportional valve
  • Track width can be adjusted quickly
  • Central lubrication strip for easy maintenance
  • Practical “hose bridge” above the sideshift frame
  • Shifting via a chrome-plated shaft rod ensures durability
  • Wide range of accessories (e.g. different stabilising wheels)
  • Three different sideshift frame sizes available
Further advantages

Advantages of the linear slide frame compared to a parallel slide frame

Linear side shifting frame

  • Shifts linearly to the left or right by 25 cm each (total shift 50 cm)
  • Direct power transmission to the row-crop cultivator
  • Centre of gravity close to tractor (lower lifting forces required)
  • Reduced rear axle load at the headland (less soil compaction)
  • Narrow design (e.g. advantage when hoeing on slopes)

Parallel shifting frame

  • Parallel shifting frame
  • Moves with the aid of a parallelogram: closer to the tractor at the end positions and furthest away from the tractor in the middle position
  • Centre of gravity far away (e.g. drifting on slopes)
  • Longer construction: More lifting power is required
  • Higher axle loads and more ballasting required (compaction at the headland)
