End-of-year
review 2023
Together with you the Einböck family looks back on the last 12 months!
Dear customers and farmers,
Dear partners, dealers and friends of Einböck,
in just a few days, we will be jumping another new year. Now is the time once again to review the past year. The highlight of 2023 for Einböck is certainly the move to the new “Werk Dobl”. But first things first – as we do every year, here is an overview of what has happened at our company over the past 12 months:
- Relocation to the new factory “Dobl”: Finally a new, larger workplace: That’s probably the one thing what over two thirds of the Einböck workforce will probably have thought so from summer 2023. The total investment of almost € 35 million (new factory“Dobl” incl. new office space, “Einkehr” company restaurant, and expansion of the photovoltaic system; restructuring of the factory “Schatzdorf” office, new welding hall, new welding robots, expansion of laser technology, new levelling machine, etc.) has largely been completed. Of course, every relocation or change takes time. The new systems, workstations and, above all, the space gained naturally create enormous potential for improvements, adjustments and adaptations. Over the past few months, we have been working intensively on improving our production processes. These efforts will continue in the coming months in order to achieve even greater efficiency and, above all, productivity. We are very pleased that this operational restructuring has taken place without any accidents, delays or problems. For this reason, we would like to express our sincere thanks to all external partner companies and our dedicated team, who have made a significant contribution to the smooth running of our operations!
- EPAN and configurator: Our EPAN (Einböck Partner Network) is enjoying great popularity. Around 400 users have already registered and can find useful information about their red Einböck technology. This includes spare parts lists, operating instructions, the individual delivery schedule, graphics, photos, product information and current delivery times. They also have access to our wear parts catalog and can use online forms. This allows importers, dealers and end customers to retrieve data quickly and easily in real time. In addition, our hoeing technology configurator ensures that all the necessary information can flow faster and better from farmers via dealers to our sales department and that the right row-crop cultivator can be individually configured quickly.
- Agritechnica & market assessment: Agritechnica in Hanover in November was a great success. We were there with a team of over 25 people and 17 machines. We presented ourselves extremely professionally and were very well organized. Although the mood in the agricultural sector is generally good and motivating, there is still a certain “wait-and-see” attitude on the market, which is also reflected in the number of orders received. As the dealers’ yards are sometimes a little too full of technology, machines are often “tentatively” put into stock. End customers are shying away from the increased investment costs and are therefore also taking a wait-and-see approach. This is another reason why we expect sales to decline in the current 2023/24 financial year after the last Einböck sales record in 2022/23. However, we are very pleased and motivated by the many discussions with farmers, dealers and importers from all over the world, as well as their extremely positive feedback on our (new) machines.
- Red innovations: Our innovations, such as the SMART-GRIP adjustment for our special hoeing implements, the seeding boom for our pneumatic seeding box P-BOX-STI or the new ISOBUS tined weeder AEROSTAR-FUSION with SMART-CONTROL, were very well received by the market. The SMART-CONTROL pre-series is already sold out and the new XXL grassland seeder PNEUMATICSTAR-PRO is almost sold out for the next season. Feedback such as “you build very practical machines” or “you are the only ones with the complete program of weeding and hoeing machines” shows us that we are the absolute number one in mechanical weed control – and of course we want to stay that way. This is another reason why further innovations and developments are planned and in progress in this area!
- Winner of the “German Sustainability Award 2024”: We are delighted that we have been awarded the “German Sustainability Award 2024” in the agricultural technology category. This prestigious award was presented to our Managing Director Michael Einböck at a glamorous gala in Düsseldorf at the end of November!
- New handbooks: The traditional “Organic Farming Handbook” has now been expanded by almost 60 pages with issue 3, adding lots of detailed information and a number of crops. The new “Fusion-Farming Handbook”, written for conventional farmers, is now available online as well. Our third “Grassland Care Handbook” is also proving very popular – especially internationally. These three guides make us particularly proud, as they are unique in the agricultural machinery sector. Despite the high printing costs, we have decided to continue to offer the manuals free of charge and even send them out free of charge in the European Union.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all importers, dealers, factory representatives, partners, suppliers, salesmen, customers and farmers who have accompanied us on our journey in 2023. All these people and companies have actively supported us worldwide over the past 12 months and worked with us in an extremely professional and committed manner. This makes the production of agricultural machinery a pleasure – and tillage, hoeing and weeding technology, grassland care and seeding joy!
Finally, as always, we wish you and your families a relaxing and merry Christmas, happy winter vacations and a healthy, successful 2024. Of course, you should also find enough relaxation and quality time with your families and friends.
Until then, best wishes from the Innviertel in Upper Austria,
“Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
The Einböck family and the Einböck team
