Optimal guidance of the machine in the field

The PNEUMATICSTAR-PRO-XXL is designed for big farms. The trailing chassis, which is connected to the lower links of the tractor, is carried by 2 large wheels. During operation 6 ground wheels ensure optimal guidance of the machine over the field. A sturdy profil-frame prevents the machine from swinging back- or forwards. Also the XXL-Version can be equipped with a P-BOX-MD or P-BOX-STI.

Heavy front levelling plate for perfect levelling of mole hills

A heavy triangular plate in front of the support wheels levels out the mole hills. The soil is distributed evenly on the surface, there is no reconsolidation of the ground and the pores of the soil remain open.

Hydraulic pressure regulation
The hydraulic pressure on the parallelograms can be adjusted from the cab via the tractor's hydraulic system. This means that the tine pressure can be easily increased or reduced depending on the soil conditions. The tine aggresivity is identical on each section over the full working width. The turf is opened - this helps to control the rough stalked meadow grass in summer. The hydraulic levelling system guarantees an equal pressure on each weeder section and the tines to follow the contour of the ground perfectly even in uneven terrain.

Parallelogram-guided weeder sections

The hydraulic levelling system with parallelograms works very smoothly even when working with high working speed. The weeder sections are always parallel to the ground so all tines exert the same downwards pressure.

No rollers
To combine grassland weeder and rollers in one machine does not provide the desired effect. The centrally placed deflector plates ensure an even distribution of the seeds over the full working width. Furthermore, the operating speed of roller and grassland harrow do not match. In case soil gets stuck to the roller, seeds which have been distributed by the weeder get stuck on it and previously sown grass is collected from the ground again. In addition, a roller etablishes contact between previously torn out weeds (such as the rough stalked meadow grass) and the ground. So they will not dry out, but continue to grow. Especially for reseeding and grassland care, rolling is not necessary as the roller runs on the turf and has very limited contact to the soil. For new seeding rolling can be beneficial, but it should be done in a separate operation after weeds dried out and with the optimal working speed for rolling.

Deflector plates are mounted centrally on the tine sections

The deflector plates with splash-guard are placed in the centre of each tine section. They spread the seeds before the last two rows of tine sections to establish optimal seed to soil contact.

Ideal adjustment of the frame to follow the contour of the ground

The joints are equipped with hardened bolts with Ø 35 mm / 1.38” and brass bushings which can be greased. The position of the stop bars change the setup of the frame - either it is rigid or the side wings can go down to copy the contour of the surface even better. Not only the tine sections, but also the heavy levelling boards can follow the surface of the ground.

Exact line spacing of the tines of 2.5 cm / 1”

The line spacing of exact 2.5 cm / 1” has a significant influence on the effect and quality of the operation. Tine fields with 6-rows with 60 tines on 1.5 m / 4.9 ft. fields ensure an effective and efficient weed control. A bigger distance between the tines will leave unworked strips where weeds will continue to grow and the turf will not be dethatched. 

Exact tine position and movement of the directly suspended springtines

The harrow tines are mounted to the harrow sections by plastic tine holders to ensure an exact tine position in driving direction. The spring coil of the tine is mounted below the tine holder to ensure free movement and vibration of the tine. In addition, the tines clean themselves due to the constant movement. A breakage of the tine is almost impossible, because the movement of the tine is not limited or restricted.

Tine aggressivity quickly adjustable via central adjustment lever

The aggressivity of the spring loaded tines on the grassland care machine can be adjusted as required via one central adjustment lever per tine section in 5 positions between ''dragging'' or ''on grip''.

"SPEED-TRONIC" Terminal
The PNEUMATICSTAR-PRO-STI grassland seeder is equipped with the pneumatic box P-BOX-STI. The user-friendly "SPEED-TRONIC" terminal regulates the sowing rate depending on the actual forward speed. The SPEED-TRONIC control unit with electrical quantity adjustment is very easy to use. The necessary speed information can be obtained via various sensors or via the 7-pole signal socket of the tractor.

Driven by a rubber wheel
The grassland seeder PNEUMATICSTAR-PRO-MD is equipped with the pneumatic seeder P-BOX-MD as standard. The P-BOX-MD is an air seeder. It is able to seed all standard seeds and their mixtures up to a size of 5 mm. It is driven by a rubber wheel or a following tail wheel.

Increased vibration-effect due to special tine holder

Tine 490 mm / 19.3“ long, Ø 8 mm / 0.31“

In case of middle matted grassland or middle soil conditions, the tines with a diameter of 8 mm / 0.31" and a length of 490 mm / 19.3" are preferable. These tines are also the most used.

Pneumatic seeder P-BOX-MD
With the pneumatic seeding box P-BOX-MD the speed is transmitted to the seed drill via a ground wheel. The wheel is well protected against earth and stones by a special protection. The seed rate is adjusted via an adjusting lever on the infinitely variable drive of the P-BOX-MD. Machines with 3m and 6m width are equipped with a 300 l tank. The seed drill is equipped with a stirring shaft and a separate section on the seeding roller per hoses.

Pneumatic Seeder P-BOX-STI
The pneumatic seeding box P-BOX-STI provides adjustment of the seeding rate depending on the actual working speed, as well as the electrical control unit "SPEED-TRONIC". The power-supply comes from the 3-pin plug of the tractor. Machines with 3 m / 9.8 ft. and 6 m / 19.7 ft.working width come standard with a 300 l tank. The seed box is equipped with a stirring shaft and a separate section on the seeding roller for each hose.

Transport width of 3 m / 9.80 ft.

The sophisticated retraction mechanism together with putting the tines into the lowest angle position makes it possible to reduce the transport width to only 3 m / 9.80 ft.

Tine 490 mm / 19.3“ long, Ø 10 mm / 0.39“

For heavily weeded areas and stony soils, in order not to necessarily deposit the stones on the soil surface, we recommend these straight tines with a diameter of 10 mm / 0.39" and a length of 490 mm / 19.3". "Dragging" tines are gentle on the turf in wet or boggy grassland.

For heavily matted grassland or for middle to hard soil conditions, the tines with a diameter of 10 mm / 0.39" and a length of 490 mm / 19.3" should be used. These grassland tines are also ideal when used to control meadow panicle in summer.
