Depending on the working width, the GRASS-MANAGER series and the PNEUMATICSTAR series are guided by two or four pneumatic rubber support wheels. The support wheels prevent the tines from working too deeply in light soil conditions. They are height-adjustable in the half-hole grid.

    The line spacing of 2,5 cm is very important for the quality of the operation result. 60 tines on 1.5 m / 4.9 ft working width make a static line distance of 2.5 cm / 1“. Only this distance will provide the desired effect of efficient weeding.

    In front of the weeder sections a levelling plate can be mounted, which is overload-protected by a leaf spring. This levelling plate is height adjustable and ensures an excellent distribution and levelling of molehills. In addition, it distributes and levels manure and slurry.     Different tines

     

    tine 490 mm/19.3” long, Ø 7 mm/0.28“ (serial)

    The standard tine with a diameter of 7 mm (0.28”) and a length of 490 mm (19.3”) is most suitable in medium conditions. If the machine mainly works in grassland, the 8 mm tine is recommended.

    In middle or heavy soil, the tines with 8 mm (0.31”) diameter and 490 mm (19.3”) length should be used. These tines are the most common ones in grassland care.

     

    tine 490 mm/13.9” long STRAIGHT, Ø 8 mm/0.31”

    For stony soil, in order not to bring stones to the surface, we recommend the straight tines with a diameter of 8 mm (0.31”) and a length of 490 mm (19.3”). Tines adjusted “dragging“ protect the turf in wet or boggy grassland.

    (only availably with heavy frame SR)

    In heavily felted grassland or extremely heavy soil, tines with 10 mm (0.39”) diameter and 490 mm (19.3”) length need to be used. These tines are ideal to fight common panicle in the summer.

     

     

    Even on healthy and balanced grassland an annual maintenance is absolutely essential. The long-established grassland weeder GRASS-MANAGER is especially designed for that purpose. It aerates and dethatches the turf. Furthermore, it crushes plants residues, manures and mixes the material.

    Conventional devices for towing perform these tasks poorly. The tines are designed for long life and can be adjusted in the working angle. Due to their design they have always contact to the grassland, also on uneven terrain. The GRASS-MANAGER is made for high working speeds and thus very effective. It can be equipped with levelling boards to even molehills. The support wheels are running in front of the weeder sections and ensure an accurate guidance.
