Technical data universal cultivator HURRICANE

  • Tine arrangement 4 rows
  • Line spacing 20 cm
  • Frame clearance 80 cm
  • Working depth hydraulically adjustable - 1 double acting hydraulic valve required
  • Rigid tines with shear-bolt stone protection
  • Transport width 2.70 - 3.00 m
  • Optimal penetration even on heavy soil conditions due to adjustable tine angles
  • Rear rollers ball bearing mounted
  • Category III lower link width (Cat. II up to 3 m)
  • Lower links guided on both sides
  • From 4,20 m working width, hydr. folding, locking in working- and transport position via hydr. safety block (1 additional double acting hydraulic valve required)

Perfection with 4-beam arrangement and high frame clearance

The 4-beam arrangement ensures a good incorporation of straw and organic material. Because of the generous 4-bar frame construction, a work without blocking is possible even in heavy sticky soils and a high amount of organic matter.

Adjusting the tine angle

Regardless of which share is mounted, you can always achieve the best possible penetration result by adjusting the tine angle. The adjustment screw serves also as the shearbolt. The cultivator shaft made from 60x25 is very robust.

No need for re-adjustment of levelling discs

The star-shaped or full discs are mounted on the parallelogram of the rear roller. They don´t have to be readjusted when changing the working depth.

Hydraulic folding on machines larger than 4.2 m working width

The HURRICANE 420 and 460 have a two section frame. This ensures an easy and save-spacing parking of the machine. Via a hydraulic safety block the HURRICANE locks in working and transport position.

Line spacing 20 cm for extensively working

The asymmetrical arrangement of the tines in combination with a narrow line spacing of only 20 cm guarantees excellent mixing and complete tillage of the full-surface, even at low working depths. In addition to this, an optional distribution of straw in the horizontal and vertical direction is achieved by the machine geometry. This is especially in the first stubble turning very important to prevent fungal infections. In shallow working depth you should mount duckfoot sweeps or wing shares.

Options universal cultivatorHURRICANE

  • Rubber support wheels with bracket
  • Trailed weeder tines 1-row, tine diameter 12 mm, instead of 2-row (for RP 47, RP und N)
  • Protecting tarpaulin on both sides on the tines for street transport
  • Warning signs and ligths
  • Wing share mounted on double diamond

GOLIATH leaf spring tines instead of rigid tines

For light, sandy and stony soil conditions a leaf spring tine 150x14 mm is used. The angle of these tines cannot be adjusted.

Simple seeding of cover crops

With the P-BOX-MD or the P-BOX-STI it is possible to seed all standard seeds and their mixtures up to a size of 5 mm. (steht nicht auf der Homepage) Depending on the seeding rate and - speed it can be set to anywhere from 1 kg to 300 kg per hectare by a simple adjustment.

The seed is conveyed pneumatically via hoses to the distribution plates which spread the seeds precisely. Depending on the version of the box the metering roller is driven by an electric motor or mechanically by a flexible cable with various ground drive variants.

You can also seed with our mechanical seeding machines (DRILLBOX, MECHANICBOX), but they can only be used on rigid machines.

The correct tine

Double diamond share

The double diamond (universal) share (width 13 cm) is the standard share to work in depths of 8 to 15 cm. For a shallow working wing shares with a width of 22 cm can be mounted easily and fast (optional).

Duckfoot sweep with guide plate instead of double-diamond share

For a shallow operation depth of 4 to 12 cm we offer a duckfoot sweep with guide plate for an additional charge. The width of 25 cm ensures complete tillage of the full surface. For the first stubble cultivation you should use it at a working depth of 5 to 6 cm. This will avoid, that lost crop and weed seeds, as well as organic material are buried, but are brought to the surface. The guide plate achieves an excellent mixing effect of soil and organic material.

Narrow share additional to double-diamond share

The 10 cm narrow share (optional) is designed for deep penetration, loosening and additional straw mixing. The working depth is 12 to 25 cm (depending on the roller).

Wing share mounted on double diamond

The right rear rollers

F - Flat rod crumbler ø 400 mm

Good crumbling results on normal soil.

R - Round rod crumbler ø 400 mm

Good crumbling results on normal soil and good load capacity on light soil.

RF – Round rod - Plain crumbler ø 400 mm

Good crumblling, good levelling and reconsolidation as well as exact depth guidance. For medium soil, universal use.

RP 47 Ring packer roller with leveller, ø 470 mm

Same as RP, but with ø 470 mm and less weight

R5 Cylinder shaped roller ø 500 mm

High load capacity, good reconsolidation, best suited for light soil. Excellent seedbed results on sandy soil.

RP Ring packer roller with leveller, ø 575 mm

The ring packer roller achieves reconsolidation in stripes with a distance of 12.5 cm. The wedge-shaped reconsolidation compacts the soil in deeper areas and closes all cavities while the topsoil stays loose and is finely crumbled. Its high load capacity makes it suitable for all different types of soil. Spring scrapers between the rings help avoid blockage.

N Nova roller with leveller ø 575 mm

The Nova roller achieves strips of reconsolidation at a distance of 17 cm. The U-rings, which fill with soil ensure, that soil rolls on soil. This grants a very soil-conserving reconsolidation with a crumbly surface structure. With its high load capacity it is suitable for all types of soil. Scrapers between the rings level the soil and prevent the roller from blocking.

OPTIONAL: 1-row weeder

Instead of the 2-row weeder tines which are standard on the N, RP 58 and RP 47 roller a 1-row weeder with 12 mm tines is available as an option.

The HURRICANE universal cultivator is also known colloquially as a heavy cultivator or mulch cultivator.

The universal cultivator HURRICANE combines three machines in one. The HURRICANE is the ideal machine for stubble turning right after harvest. The machine supports soil life and structure, prevents erosion and ensures a good soil structure. Another job the machines is very effective in is breaking up of soil compactions or intensive seedbed preparation. The machine leaves a levelled, reconsolidated surface. The HURRICANE is a versatile, universal machine which can work on big and small areas very effectively.
