With the CHOPSTAR-TWIN precision row-crop cultivator, hoeing is not done directly on top of the row, which increases precision & speed. With the SMART-GRIP quick adjustment, the TWIN is the specialist for close hoeing of beets, soybean, corn and vegetables.
Precision row-crop cultivator
CHOPSTAR-TWIN
- Precision row-crop cultivator for hoeing over the row
- Narrow hoeing belt with unworked area less than 5 cm / 2”
- E.g. for corn, soybean, beets, vegetables, …
- Row distance: 35 to 80 cm / 14″ to 31”
- Equipped with: Splitted Farmflex wheels, 2 cutting discs and up to 4 tines (2 angle-knives and up to 2 bypass-tines)
- Following elements: Rotative weeder, finger weeder,…
The concept of Einböck row-crop cultivators is its variability and the variety of individually adaptable tools. This means that the right machine can be configured for every farm, every condition and every crop:
To standard hoeing technology
To special hoeing technology
To accessories for hoes
To vegetable care technology
The advantages of
CHOPSTAR-TWIN
SMART-GRIP quick adjustment
In order to enable the cutting discs and angle knives of the “TWIN” hoeing section to be adapted to different crops quickly, they come as a standard feature with the SMART-GRIP quick adjustment system. This saves time by quickly adapting the row-crop cultivator to a wide range of conditions while maintaining the best possible grip – thanks to a special quadruple clamping. The angle knives can be rigid or spring mounted.
Weed control over the full surface
The earlier and the closer to the row hoeing can take place, the easier the weed control in the row can be done (e.g. by finger weeders or rotative weeder elements). This ensures reduced weed pressure and supports a good establishment of the crop.
Elongated parallelograms
The wide parallelograms are equipped with retraction support and durable Farmflex feeler wheels. Furthermore, they can be adjusted in the joints, this guarantees a high (side)stability and accuracy after many years of use. The long parallelograms provide enough space to compensate unevenness of the fields on each element, on hills or pans.
High penetration force of hoeing elements
All Einböck row-crop cultivator parallelograms are fitted with three-step adjustable retraction spring as standard. These ensure that the hoeing tools penetrate better, even in heavily crusted soils, and enable higher working speeds without the elements vibrating or jumping.
Hoeing in mulch and no-till crops
The cutting discs in front of the angle knives allow to operate the machine in mulch or no-till, but also strip-till crops. The organic matter is cut close to the plant row what brings precise and quick hoeing without clogging.
Finger weeders with "SMART-GRIP" quick-adjustment
The finger weeders are equipped with an additional parallelogram to enable a perfect ground adaptation. In addition, the aggressivity of the finger weeders could be adjusted by a spring. Each pair of finger weeder stars could be set up quickly to the field condition by the ”SMART-GRIP”- quick adjustment mechanism.
Camera steering system ROW GUARD
- Sideshift frame and row-crop cultivator are mounted very closely together
- One sideshift frame can be used for several row-crop cultivators
- Latest version of hard- and software
- Precise row recognition in different row-crops
- Best visibility – even in fields with heavy weed infestation and/or small crops
- Proven a thousand times
Customized options & special features
Many sophisticated additional options such as following working tools, SECTION-CONTROL element lifting, camera steering, etc. make every Einböck row-crop cultivator an individually adaptable machine. So, every cultivator is designed to perfectly meet current conditions, crops or types of soil.
To camera steering ROW-GUARD
To hydraulic lifting SECTION-CONTROL
To finger weeders
Twin-hoeing element with vertical cutting discs and angle knives
The hoeing section is guided by two Farmflex-support wheels left and right of the row. It is equipped with two vertical cutting discs, which are followed by two angle knives. They are mounted on vibro-springs, so it is possible to work very closely and shallow to the crop. The result is that young crops can be hoed earlier, closer to the crop and with higher working speed than with standard row-crop cultivators without burying plants. In ideal conditions a hoeing band of less than 5 cm / 1.90″ can be realized. The CHOPSTAR-TWIN can be configured from 35 cm / 14″ up to 80 cm / 31″.
Strong frame for maximum durability
The stable machine frame, to which the hoeing parallelograms are attached, is available in a rigid version or with a hydraulically foldable design up to a width of 19 m / 62 ft. The special Einböck profiled tube allows for quick and easy mounting of the hoeing elements. The special frame shape and design ensures maximum durability and an exact fit. In addition, different row distances can be quickly and infinitely adjusted. The ROW-GUARD camera steering system can be mounted on all frames as well.
- Rear frame for rigid machines with upper link steering
- Frame folded hydraulically (rear with upper link steering)
- Rear double folding frame up to 12 m / 40 ft
- Rear double folding frame and wide middle frame up to 19 m / 62 ft
- Special frame
Right tines & sweeps
Continuously variable adjustment of the working depth
The working depth of the hoeing section is continuously variable adjustable with a spindle on the depth control wheel. So, the working depth of the hoeing tool can be adjusted to the millimetre and it is perfectly maintained during operation. A scale shows the actual adjustment. Each parallelogram should be adjusted individually, because e.g. the tracks behind the tractor wheels should be hoed deeper to break them up.
High frame clearance
A frame clearance up to 70 cm / 28″ makes working in bigger crops like corn, sunflowers, etc. possible. So efficient and careful hoeing / ridging up in late growth stage does not cause any problem.
Hydraulic lifting SECTION-CONTROL
The section has a lifting height of up to 35 cm / 14″ (depending on the machine configuration and soil conditions) and can automatically be controlled by GPS via SECTION-CONTROL, or manually by switches. Lifting the sections ensures no crop is damaged at the headlands when the fields are not square. This option is especially recommended for contractors or farms with a lot of misshaped fields.
Finger & rotative weeder
Automatic sideshift frame
A ROW-GUARD camera-guided sideshift frame can be mounted to each row-crop cultivator, also retro-fitted.
For hoeing the unworked space between the TWIN elements, up to two additional tines can be mounted.
Seeding box to distribute cover crops or fertilizer
The pneumatic seeding box P-BOX or the front tank JUMBO-SEED can be optionally combined with the row-crop cultivator. These can be used to apply under-seeds or fertilizers during hoeing.
Band spraying
The JUMBO-STREAM front tank for liquids offers efficient solutions for combined weed control. In combination with the proven CHOPSTAR-PRIME row-crop cultivator, the front tank enables effective mechanical weed control that includes hoeing and simultaneous band spraying or fertilizing.
In order to increase the precision of a row-crop cultivator without camera steering or to reduce the width of the hoeing belt, a manual hydraulic steering is optionally available. This accessory allows a person to steer the row-crop cultivator independently from the tractor. The seat is positioned so that the best view on the crop row is guaranteed. The steering is hydraulically operated, so that even longer hoeing operations can be done.
