New: Cross-ridge hiller

We are expanding our range of trailed working tools for our row-crop cultivators!

The newly developed cross-ridge hiller can be mounted behind every hoeing element. Its purpose is to heap up or hill cross ridges in row-crops with a width of 50 to 80 cm / 20-30” (such as corn, sunflowers or potatoes) and thus protect the soil from erosion. The cross-ridge hiller is driven mechanically via a tail wheel, whereby the size of the ridges can be adjusted using cross shares of different widths.

Product manager Philipp explains: “Particularly in areas at risk of erosion, such as slopes, the cross ridges serve as a natural barrier to prevent soil and humus erosion. As a result, valuable water is retained for the cultivated crops and the precious humus remains on the field. Furthermore, crusts are effectively reduced, which promotes air exchange and thus plant development!”

The top 3 at a glance - erosion protection with the cross-ridge hiller:

  • Use in hill crops such as potato and arable crops such as corn or sunflower during the last hoeing pass
  • Cross ridges of different sizes at a 90° angle to row-crops between 50 and 80 cm / 20-30” wide
  • Protects against erosion, especially on slopes – the “water channel” is interrupted with cross ridges
