Technology for drought tolerant grassland will be indispensable in the future!
Specific grassland care and reseeding has always been important. The changing climatic conditions force grassland to become more and more drought tolerant. Sustainable grassland maintenance requires a lot of precision and even more experience! This is exactly why we pass on our decades of knowledge and have already offered various seminars regarding this topic.
Perfect grassland management also includes the reseeding of valuable fodder grasses in order to close gaps in the turf and to suppress rough meadow-grass (poa trivialis). Our grassland-care line has been developed for exactly these measures: increasing forage quality and yield.
The tines slightly slit the grass, this stimulates the tillering and so the grass grows denser and produces more organic matter. A tight line spacing ensures that our machines weed out very much material, besides dead grasses especially weeds like shallow-rooting rough stalked meadow grass.
By reseeding with the mounted pneumatic seedingbox P-BOX, gaps in the stand with valuable fodder grass are closed again in one operation. This significantly increases the quality of the grassland.
To remove inferior forage grasses the grassland must be harrowed frequently. The best results can be achieved with the PNEUMATICSTAR-series. The narrow line spacing, 10 mm thick tines and 40 tines per meter working width guarantee a profitable grassland cut.
We do not recommend using the combination of a grassland seeder and pressure rollers. For a good reason: The rollers would press the inferior grasses and the cut-out plants back into the soil. They would regenerate and grow again. This would be self-defeating. The harrow works only at the soil surface, rolling of the sown seed is not necessary. Harrowing the seed into the soil surface with a certain amount of rain is enough for emerging.
